2017 Kokomo Timber Crest Vineyard Muscat Blanc (750ml)

This 120 acre Timber Crest Vineyard is located off Dry Creek Road on the valley floor. The soil composition of this vineyard is Yolo Sandy Loam. We have ¾ of an acre planted next to our Sauvignon Blanc here at Timber Crest Vineyard that our partner Randy Peters planted for us in 2008.

Our goal with this Muscat Blanc was to make a dry style that would be similar to the beautiful Alsace wines that pair with spicy ethnic foods. With an emphasis on floral notes and bright acidity we feel we’ve created a fun and playful wine that still has beautiful depth and a surprisingly full body. The aromatics of this wine are unmistakable and transport you to sitting in a field of spring flowers! The floral notes of lemon blossom and honeysuckle are integrated with notes of pineapple, Asian pear, and lemon verbena. These follow through to the palate where flavor of pineapple and just ripe nectarine are balanced by crisply bright acidity. This refreshingly dry wine is perfect for sipping on the patio on a summer day and for pairing with spicier Thai or Indian cuisines.
