Our vineyards in the Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys offer us the unique opportunity to create a complex wine showing the full spectrum of Sonoma County fruit. This wine is made from select blocks of Mantra's estate hillside vineyards located at elevations up to 1,100 feet. This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from three of our distinct vineyard sites - two in the Alexander Valley and one in the Dry Creek Valley. The wines from each vineyard site were fermented separately, aged in a combination of coopers and later blended to achieve what we are sure you will find to be an exquisite example of Sonoma County Cabernet

High in color, tannin, and extract, Cabernet Sauvignon expresses notes of blackberry, cassis, plum, currant, spice, and tobacco. In Bordeaux and elsewhere in the Old World you'll find the more earthy, tannic side of Cabernet, where it's typically blended to soften tannins and add complexity.
